Come out for a delicious evening of fun and drink! We're excited to host Holley Toppa, founder of Blondies Supply Co., as she demonstrates how to shuck an oyster, as well as how to make the accompanying sauces.

Chef and Owner of Caribe & Co, Savannah will also be mixing up refreshing mocktails to pair with the oysters.

Spring Embroidery Workshop

Grab a friend or come out solo and enjoy a night in Newport relaxing and learning a new skill! Kelly and Jen of Embroidered Events will be back to teach us how to embroider names & designs onto classic pieces like a jean jacket, shoes and sweaters!

This class will utilize embroidery floss. Embroidery floss makes this class an intermediate skill level, however instruction is provided at entry level. Yarn will also be available for those who would like to complete a project with that material.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

A 2 hour class with step by step instructions. Handouts & videos will be provided to accompany each step and the overall technique. We’ll pause for different demonstrations and then walk around assisting each individual with their project.

You may not leave with a completed project - but you will leave with the tools and technique to complete it on your own and our contact info to reach out with questions or for assistance.

Once you have the technique down, you can expand to other mediums as well.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • Item to work on. For this class you could bring a jean jacket, pair of jeans, canvas sneakers, chelsea boots, knit sweater or top, the possibilitites are endless! No need to go out and buy something new, shop yours or your child's closet!

Spring Awakening Yoga with Daffodils

Spring Awakening Yoga with Daffodils

An all levels yoga class celebrating the season of spring with Mary Anne Murphy.

What you need: Dress in comfy layers. Bring a mat if you prefer to use your own, but we will also have mats available to all.

About the experience: This flow yoga class is designed to release tension & blockages to make space to invite fresh energy in to the mind & body. The practice will begin with breath work to energize the mind & then move fluidly to bring warmth to muscles & connective tissue. You will be guided through Sun Salutations, standing poses and a heart-warming meditation that will leave you feeling energized. All attendees will receive a daffodil & a ginger vitality shot to send you on your way with a “Spring” in your step🌷.

Come as you are, no experience required.

What you get: This workshop will leave you feeling refreshed and energized in parallel with the season of spring. All attendees will receive a daffodil plant as part of their registration.

Get cozy and crafty at Matriarch this winter. This season is the best time to pick up a cozy new skill! Learn the basics of embroidery at this event, part of our Cozy and Crafty workshop series.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Come out for an evening of fun and drink! We're excited to host Chef and Owner of Caribe & Co, Savannah at Matriarch to share her secrets to creating the perfect mocktail with her Caribbean-inspired flavored syrups.

Learn how to create a mocktail with Caribbean inspiration - from bright and floral to spicy and zesty - and then participate in a friendly competition to see who is the best bartender on the island!

Included in the class:

  • 1 sampler pack of 6 Caribe and Co. culinary syrups

  • Lesson with the expert, Savannah on the recipe to a great mocktail

  • Mocktails to enjoy by Savannah!

During this 3 hour workshop, Nina will teach you how to cast on, knit, purl, decrease and bind off! Each student will receive a beginners kit that includes a knitting pattern to create you own hat, a ball of 100% wool yarn, knitting needles, a notebook, a tapestry needle, and access to our private Facebook group with video tutorials on what you’ll learn in class.

No experience necessary. Come snack and have fun!

join us for a crafty evening of color and cake with artists Mia Whittmore and Mary Kate Reis as we create cut paper collages inspired by cake. snacking cake and cupcakes provided!

collaging is a fun, freeing, and experimental way to create works of art, you will learn color theory and collaging technique, exploring the elements of composition, background, middle-ground, and foreground.

paper and other clippings for collaging will be provided, but feel free to bring your own!
